Time Out At Juhu Beach With Family
It's hard to find time these days both for you and family. Building leads, promoting, advertising has almost made me a desktop monkey, Yes! you guessed it right I am a Marketer, but doesn't spare me from family responsibilities. As they say," Family Always Comes First."![]() |

Yeah! I know it's overcrowded but still, it's a decent place to sit back and relax with family and kids especially for people who are short on time. I mean it just takes me 30 minutes of drive to reach if stuck in traffic otherwise.
ISKON - Hare Rama Hare Krishna
We are spiritual and religions so we first decided to go to ISKON to take some blessing from Lord Krsna I mean how can we not visit the place being in Juhu. Since it was a day's vacation for me I got up late and I cannot shy away from admitting it.
Whenever I go to this place I feel peace, relaxed and not thoughts of worry bother me. I make me feel of a certain spiritual connection with Krishna. This place cannot be called a tourist attraction but one can consider visiting once.
As clicking photos are strictly prohibited here I can just try to elaborate on the things you see inside.
As you enter into the premises you need to go through the security for checking. Unlike any other temple, there is an arrangement to keep your footwear safe then as per Hindu customs you need to wash your feet before you enter. There is only a certain time where devotees can take darshan from 4:00 am to 5:00 am, 7:15 am to 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm to 8:20 pm. We choose to visit at 4:00 pm.
Inside you will see a big hall nicely carved with Marbel. A separate window with Mannequin placed narrating the divine activities of the lord. The walls have beautiful paintings on them depicting all his avatars and pastimes. and in the center of the hall, you see three sections with the Supreme Lord and Radha at the center exact opposite placed is the human-sized statue of Shrila Prabhupada the founder of The International Society Of Krishna Consciousness (ISKON).
On the exit, you will be routed through the book store and stalls where you can buy ISKON products of your choices. There are many cultural programs and seminars held by them periodically in order to develop consciousness among people.
It was already 4:30 p.m and we also had to go to Juhu beach. We wore our footwear and went straight to the beach. The approximate distance between ISKON and Juhu beach is 3 KM
Juhu Beach.
It was not a very pleasant sight on arrival as space was already getting filling up. Did I mention that my kids Yashvardhan and Abhishek are a foodie? They smelled food from almost at a 100-meter distance and asked both to buy them Pav - Bhaji ( A very popular dish on the beach and my personal favorite too.)

Talking about the street food you will plenty of options here like Pav Bhaji, Vada Pav, Pizza, Burgers, Chilli Cheese Paratha, Ice creams, Rabadi Malai, Kokam Cooler, Mysore Masala Dosa, Chicken Tandoori Momos, Hakka Noodles, Chicken Tandori Roomali Roti, Sweet Lassi, Pani Poori and a lot more I already feel exhausted naming and it's not possible to list all the dishes here at least for me.
Things We Did
There are plenty of things around that encourages you but I like to sit and enjoy the breeze, listen to the sound of the waves hitting the shore I mean it just gives you that feeling which no music can do isn't it?
I hired a mat at Rs.40/- per hour so we can sit and relax my wife Trupti and kids went towards the shore to enjoy the cold water touching their feet but I always ask them not to go deeper as it is risky.
I was amazed to see Watersports on the beach on inquiring I learned that its the latest Government and Maharashtra Maritime board initiative to boost tourism in the place which according to me is a pretty decent move. People talk about various packages but I just saw two of them working at present The Jet Ski which will coast you at Rs.300/- per seat and Ferry (that is what they call it) at Rs.150/- per seat.

One thing I irritate me the most was the tea and chana (gram), vendors no matter how many times you refuse them they keep on asking you to buy from them and that doesn't just stop there if you buy from one the other will follow you like a zombie. But they can't help it is their livelihood there a sole source of earning helping them to feed their families and I didn't mind spending few extra bucks just thinking about their little ones.
Hundreds of people with a smile on their face, some dancing in water, clicking selfies, doing watersports happiness around me.
It was 6:30 by now and didn't want to get stuck in the world-famous Mumbai traffic. I called my wife and kids, took our stuff and went straight towards the parking lot.
It was a great day for me away from the office chaos just me my family and nature. Taking time out for yourself does help you relax both psychologically and physically their no enough money in the world to buy happiness.
